Specific phobia

Specific phobia is the extreme fear of a specific object or situation. It is a phobia not classified as agoraphobia or social phobia. Specific phobia is a type of anxiety disorder.

Almost all phobias can be categorized as either a specific phobia or a social phobia, but some have elements of both (like public speaking).

• Animal - 7
• Blood - 9
• Dental work - 12
• Social situations - 16
• Closed spaces - 20
• Crowds - 28

Blood and injection phobia - unique - instead of becoming more anxious, your blood pressure and heart rate drop, get dizzy, become faint

Dental phobia - people fear dentists. Dentists are actually one of the most acquainted medical professions with phobias.
